I really need to stop limiting myself.
As I stop to think about my life, I notice I only have 11 days left in Missouri. 12 days till I'm back in Florida.
Never would have I ever thought that sometime in my life I'd leave Florida, the only place I've ever known...to move to Missouri.
I'd love to travel one day, but to make a move to Missouri? So unlike me.
But God's plans aren't always the same as mine.
Before I even moved, I always thought to myself, "A minimum of 2 years...2 years is how long I'll stay up here.
Now I think on that old thought and laugh.
I'm moving back and it's only been 6 MONTHS!
A friend walked out of my life and for the longest time I was left depressed thinking, once again, maybe in two years he'll come back.
He was back in two and a half months.
I could always shrug my shoulders and say, "Who knows?" or "Who would have thought?" But GOD knows!
I've come to the conclusion that God must listen in on my thoughts...He must be listening to the way I view most things in life-most of what sometimes can be sorry assumptions-and just sits back and says, "Oh, yeah?"
And then He changes everything up on me.
I don't always like it, but it's always for the better.
And it never fails to remind me that God is in control.
God, the Creator of EVERY thing, has no limits.
Yet, me-just ONE of His many creations-often sits back and thinks I can't do this, or I can't do that...
He can do it all.
I can do all things through HIM.
It's time to step up and make a change.
This would be Kay Sunshine
I overthink, so I write.

God Answers
I wish everyone would realize that God always, always answers.
It may be a "no", it may be a "yes", it may even be a "not right now".
But He always answers.
We just have to be willing to accept "no" as an answer, sometimes.
The problem is that we, as humans, are not even always willing to listen.
Often, we choose to block Him out because we may already know the answer...and it may not be the answer want to hear. But little do we know, God always knows best. He has the whole WORLD in His hands...and that includes you. He knows what's best; He has a plan.
Just like our parents discipline us because they only want what's best...for us to be safe and to learn. God has a plan way beyond what we can comprehend.
He doesn't promise that we will like His answers. But even today, when I look back on my life and see where God's answers differed from my own, I am very grateful.
While I wished certain relationships never ended, or that I never moved, or wished my Meme never passed away...
Every little thing that has happened in my life is a lesson and I am constantly learning something new every day with God's help.
Take the time to chill out and listen to what God has to say.
He's heard your call and He wants to give you an answer.
You just have to be willing to listen and accept His answer.
Yes, no, maybe so....

Jesus and Music
I am a huge fan of music...of all different genres. Some songs "speak" to me and others just offer a cool beat to dance to.
I do understand the world’s fascination with music.
…you cannot see it or touch it…but you can hear it and feel it move you.
With Jesus, the world simply rejects because you can’t see Him or there’s no “proof”.
Yet, we listen to music every single day...can we not see music?
The fact of the matter is, once you’ve accepted Jesus as your Savior, He’s within you as well. And He’s constantly moving and working in your heart.
He’ll be your Guide, your Shelter, your Rock, your Peace, your Hope and so much more.
You just have to make Him your focus.
If you can go and discover new artists and download new music…give Jesus a try and listen to Him.
He can’t promise you happiness, but He promises to be with you every step of the way.
You’ll never be alone.

Photography
If you know me, you know my number one true passion is photography.
I know a lot of people are in to photography and love taking pictures. At one point, it even seemed to be the latest fad to take pictures and posting their photography everywhere.
But I've been in to it for as long as I can remember. I remember my very first, own camera was a pink, Polaroid Barbie camera. I'd take pictures of those I loved the most and put it in my very own, first album...it was Veggie Tales.
Since then, I'd gotten a simple little Kodak digital camera. Then for my 15th birthday, my parents got me a Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel. It was my first "professional"-like, heavy duty camera. I loved it like it was my own baby. I brought it everywhere I went and everyone knew me as the photographer.
Then, for my 17th birthday...I received a Nikon. Nikon D40x. I still use it to this day. I hope to only keep upgrading-it's just a matter of money.
I've never taken classes for photography, but I definitely plan on it. My dad and his friend are very into photography and have taught me a lot. I also have a few other friends who are very into it and post their photos on FaceBook. Sometimes I feel the need to get competitive and try to take even better photos...but that's just what drives me. They inspire me to be even better.
Throughout the past few years, I've taken photos for whoever has asked. Friends, family, people from school, including teachers, family friends, etc.
I often get asked what my favorite thing to photograph is. I don't really have an answer. I love photographing nature...whether it be flowers or the sky. But I also love taking pictures of families and kids. Couples are cute and still new for me to take photos for because there's so many things you can do with couples. Single portraits are always fun because you can always get really into it and there's always so many places to take photos. I do, also, like to take photos of myself...because I'm always with me and I am always taking photos. :)
I've used many different websites for my photography:
DeviantArt
MySpace
Flickr
My most recent, most updated, and most "professional" website can be found here:
www.wix.com/jeezkay/Photos-by-Kay
I'm always interested in receiving criticism. But, please, if you're going to offer it...don't just tell me if a photo looks bad or good. Tell me what you like about it, or what you'd wish I would have done. :)
What are you passionate about?

Relationships
Over the past few days, I've been trying to figure out just what is most important to me. What is something I'd go crazy without?
I can go without my phone, without Facebook [or the internet, period], TV, etc.
But if I didn't have my relationship with the ones I'm closest to...or anyone, for that matter...I'm convinced I'd be nothing and I'd have nothing to live for.
It's hard to not just go off and list, My Bible, my friends, my family...because I realize that material things are nothing. People do...and it's not just PEOPLE people. But my relationship with them.
There are three different relationships that come to mind:
1. My relationship with my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ
2. My relationship with my Mom.
3. My relationship with my friends.
1. I can sit and say I need my Bible, I need my Church, etc. But what are they without my relationship with Jesus? Yes, I realize I need to read the Word and associate with other believers in His house, but I cherish my RELATIONSHIP with Jesus more than anything else. Because when all other relationships fail, He's still here.
2. I've never been a very family-oriented person, but over the last few months I've realized just how close and how much I need and live off the love and support from my mom. Not only did she give birth to me, but she's been with me every day since then. For 18+ years, she's been the one to lift me up and encourage me. When I've hit rock bottom several times and felt like nobody cared or everyone had left, she was still here, offering love and advice. She'll never know how grateful I am for her, but I am.
3. There is no reason for me to sit and name off which friend is the most important or least important. Because the fact of the matter is, all of my friends-whether acquaintances or best friends-and my relationship with them is both cherished and very important to me. Without any interaction with anyone, I wouldn't be where or who I am today. Whether it be someone telling me they are praying for me, or a friend lending a shoulder to cry on...or maybe someone saying a joke to keep my spirits up...even if/when someone says something negative or we get into an argument...
Everything happens for a reason.
And with that statement, there are no coincidences.
And for THAT reason, I believe I'd be nowhere without my friends, family and my Jesus.
And that, is a fact you can take to the BANK. ;]
